Hello, I'm Maria Jose — a Chilean designer based in Victoria, BC.

I design visual identities, brand systems, and digital experiences for people and small businesses who want to show up in the world as who they truly are. My work lives at the intersection of graphic design, UX, and human connection.

My path hasn't been linear. I built a creative brand from scratch in Chile, led communications across five countries, designed educational tools for micro-entrepreneurs, and spent years working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. That last chapter changed how I see design — when you learn to meet people exactly where they are, accessibility and empathy stop being extras. They become the foundation.

I hold a Google UX Certificate, a degree in Graphic Design, and a diploma in Business Administration with a marketing focus. But what I bring to every project goes beyond credentials — it's a genuine curiosity about people and a deep belief that good design starts with truly understanding them.

I offer visual identity systems, UX design, content design, and brand communication support — always rooted in clarity, warmth, and intention.
